For a while, I stopped writing on LinkedIn because in my pursuit to be “better” at it, I became concerned about writing. I had started learning on how to write ideal LinkedIn posts and the critic (within all of us) stepped in to supervise. It did it’s job so very well that I decided it might be better to just read than write.

Thanks to my colleague Dr. Sunita Rai (PsyD, CMT-P) who first noticed my silence and asked me about it. Her encouragement and action (she spent time going through my previous posts to highlight those she enjoys reading) ignited my return to writing on this platform. I got my voice back.

Meeting Della SY Ng in person recently also sparked off a conversation about LinkedIn posts. Her insights and observations returned joy to my voice. Thank you!

As professionals and business owners, there are so many formulas, road maps and recommendations to achieve a goal, task or dream.

It is useful to learn from the success stories and insights of others. At the same time, we have to be true to our values and the core essence of who we are. Flourish the way you are meant to not how someone else does.

We benefit from collective wisdom and at the same time, ensure that we honour our own inner voice.

Only then will we enjoy success in our doing and bliss in our being.
