Do we allow others to give their love?
My maternal grandma was 106 years old when she left this world. I have memories of wonderful and enriching times spent with her. The Orange is one such poignant and precious moment. It was a powerful reminder to:
- respect others’ dignity
- consciously allow others to feel valued
- avoid jumping in to help all the time
- allow others to give us their love
What’s one precious memory that you have of your grandparents?
Love this story and we are all guilty of this and not realising that we were all young, powerful, helpful and useful and the older we get that becomes eroded and slowly but surely we are looked upon as a part of the furniture gathering dust and not considered useful at all anymore. Thank you for sharing.
Glad the story resonates with you John. I had fun recording the story. My grandma taught me the importance of allowing others to feel useful and valued.
