Step 5: Tune Into Goodness and Gratitude

In Step 5, we practice the art of tuning into goodness and gratitude.

In the journey of manifesting your dreams, at times you will realise that the form of the goodness may not be exactly in the way you envisioned it on your dream board.

For example, in my Do Dream Board, I had a picture of a boat on it (can you see it on my board?) as I thought it will be lovely to live on a boat. A few months after that, I met a new acquaintance who had just returned to Singapore. She brought her boat with her and lived on it. We clicked so well that she invited me to stay on her boat whenever I felt like it. Since her marina was close by to my my parents’ home where I was staying at, I did exactly that. So I got to live on a boat (it was not the same model but same white colour!) and it was marvellous.

You will also notice that I had pictures of people enjoying massages. I love massages but it was a luxury I could not afford at that time. Through synchronicity, I got to know a massage therapist at a workshop. She was keen on 1-1 sessions while I enjoyed massages. So we decided to do what is termed as an energy exchange and we both got what we wanted!

I realised that it is so critical to be open to goodness the way it unfolds. Manifesting our dreams is not about just positive affirmations, it does requires us to put in the effort when necessary (for example, I pursued self development and certifications) and to feel gratitude each time when goodness comes our way.

When we view ourselves as masters of our own responses, then it becomes second nature for us to accept goodness as well. It does not matter what the circumstances are; or what other people’s responses may be. We stay centred and flowing with goodness.

If we choose to stay fixed in a certain mindset and a certain direction, it often becomes a blinkered view. When that happens, it becomes more challenging for us to see, receive or give goodness. We stay locked in the emotions that come attached with that blinkered view.

When we consciously tune our minds to the goodness channel, we will begin to see how each occurrence could be a source of goodness. And as shared, the form of the goodness may not be in the way we expected it to be.

16 years ago, when I started to visualise the life I desired, I did not know how it would come about. Along the journey, goodness flowed whenever I allowed it to. I’ve learnt to set my intention, then leave the “HOW” to the materialise in its own time. What’s important is to have patience and faith, and be open to the unfolding of goodness.

At times, it is certainly a struggle to tune into the goodness channel, especially when we are caught in the middle of an unpleasant or painful occurrence. It is perfectly fine if there’s a struggle! Just recognise and accept it, rather than struggle against the struggle, which tie further knots to the knot!

What’s great is that when you are aware that you can choose to tune into the goodness channel, it means that when the emotions run clear, you are able to return to a core of calmness and focus on positive outcomes quicker. Once more, you can choose to allow goodness to flow.
